“Ankara at the Heart of the Turkic World” – Ankara Development Agency’s 10th National Photography Competition Launched
The “Ankara at the Heart of the Turkic World” Ankara Development Agency 10th National Photography Competition is being organized by the Ankara Development Agency to contribute to the promotion of Ankara’s identity as the 2026 Turkic World Tourism Capital.
Organized as part of Ankara’s designation as the 2026 Turkic World Tourism Capital, the competition aims to highlight the historical and cultural ties between Ankara and the Turkic world, promote Ankara’s tourism assets at both national and international levels, and create a visual archive reflecting these values.
Within the scope of the competition, participants are expected to present, through the art of photography and from an original perspective, Ankara’s shared cultural values with the Turkic world, its historical and cultural heritage, traditional way of life, natural and tourism assets, cultural interactions with the Turkic world, and its potential as a contemporary tourism destination.
The competition aims to increase awareness of Ankara’s identity as the 2026 Turkic World Tourism Capital, highlight shared historical and cultural ties, raise awareness of the preservation and transmission of traditional cultural values to future generations, and promote Ankara’s tourism potential through creative visual narratives.
Photographs submitted to the competition must reflect Ankara’s identity as the 2026 Turkic World Tourism Capital and Ankara’s relations with the Turkic world.
