Fiscal Support to Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Production

A contract was signed between Ankara Development Agency and Lokman Hekim University for the "Medical and Aromatic Plant Breeding: Preparation of Herbal Products with High Added Value in Standardized and Pharmacopeia Norms" project. With the project, medical-aromatic plant breeding trainings will be given in the village of Polatlar, Sincan district. Then, plants with high economic value will be produced. The project, in which idle agricultural areas will be evaluated, is supported within the scope of the 2021 Rural Development Financial Support Program of the Ankara Development Agency. Experts state that Ankara has suitable conditions for the production of medicinal and aromatic plants due to its geographical and climatic characteristics.
