Japan-Based UR Linkage Delegation Kicks Off Its Türkiye Visit at Ankara Development Agency
A delegation from UR Linkage Co., Ltd., a Japan-based company specializing in urban planning and environmental technologies, visited Ankara Development Agency on 21 September 2026 as part of its first meetings in Türkiye. During its visit to Türkiye from 21 to 25 September 2026, Ankara Development Agency was among the delegation’s first institutional stops in the country.
During the meeting at Ankara Development Agency, officials from the Investment Support Office and Davut Yeşil, representative of NetZero TEKMER, provided the UR Linkage delegation with information on Ankara’s investment environment, priority sectors, green transition goals, and opportunities for international cooperation. The UR Linkage delegation included Mitani Takahiro, Section Manager of the Overseas Project Promotion Office, and Takahashi Yuka, Deputy Subsection Chief.
As part of the visit, the parties explored potential areas of cooperation between Türkiye and Japan in sustainable infrastructure and environmental technologies. Discussions focused particularly on low-carbon concrete technologies, urban greening, urban heat island mitigation, stormwater management, watershed flood control, nature-based solutions, and environmentally friendly infrastructure practices.
The main purpose of the UR Linkage delegation’s visit to Türkiye was to introduce Japanese environmental technologies, assess Türkiye’s current needs and priorities first-hand, and explore potential opportunities for future cooperation with Japanese companies. In this context, the delegation shared information on its efforts to introduce Japanese technologies in sustainable infrastructure and environmental solutions to public institutions and private-sector organizations in Türkiye, identify local needs, and explore opportunities for future projects, partnerships, and cooperation.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss Ankara’s investment and cooperation potential. Information was shared on the city’s strong university and research infrastructure, technology development capacity, organized industrial zones, high-tech ecosystem, and its potential for sustainable and environmentally friendly applications. Ankara Development Agency’s investment support and promotion activities, as well as its guidance and advisory services for investors, were also discussed.
The visit provided an opportunity for an exchange of information and views on strengthening economic and technical cooperation between Türkiye and Japan. The parties discussed current needs in sustainable infrastructure and environmental technologies, potential applications of Japanese technologies in Türkiye, and opportunities for future cooperation.
The meeting between Ankara Development Agency and the UR Linkage delegation aimed to contribute to the exchange of knowledge and experience in environmentally friendly infrastructure technologies, the development of international cooperation opportunities between Türkiye and Japan, and the promotion of Ankara’s investment and cooperation potential among international stakeholders.
