Permaculture Training for Teachers

Permaculture training for teachers was held on October 8 and 9, 2024. The training aims to increase awareness of permaculture, ecological production and life. Permaculture, which is defined as the conscious design and maintenance of productive systems with the diversity and flexibility of natural ecosystems, is encouraged by Ankara Development Agency. Permaculture training, which is included in the 2024 Work Program of the Ankara Development Agency and the Urban Agriculture Development Program, was prioritized for female teachers. On the first day of the training, which was held on October 8 and 9, 2024, the concept of permaculture, natural agriculture, gardening, urban agriculture and ecological life practices were discussed. In addition, global ecological problems, climate change and industrial agriculture were discussed. On the second day of the training, a field study was carried out in Gölbaşı and permaculture practices were observed on site. 

Urban Agriculture Development Program 

The Ankara Development Agency's Urban Agriculture Development Program aims to disseminate good practice examples in Ankara and to implement alternative approaches to ecological problems. It is aimed to increase awareness of permaculture, ecological agriculture and sustainable living, and to spread applications in school gardens.
