The Second Training of the Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Capacity Building Financial Support Program Was Held in Ankara
The second training session for potential applicants was held on September 2, 2026, with 66 participants, as part of the "Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Capacity Building Financial Support Program in Ankara." This program is implemented by the Ankara Development Agency within the framework of the "Direct Grant Component" of the "Project on Supporting Civil Society in Turkey through Social Entrepreneurship," which is co-financed by the Republic of Turkey and the European Union under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III).
The program aims to strengthen the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Ankara and to support the capacity and revenue models of social enterprises that develop sustainable solutions to social problems. Under the program's first priority, the goal is to support social enterprises developing products and services aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals; under the second priority, the aim is to encourage associations and foundations to establish economic enterprises in order to enhance their financial sustainability and position themselves as social enterprises.
The training, attended by representatives from associations, foundations, cooperatives, and businesses, aimed to enhance participants' capacity to prepare feasible and sustainable project proposals aligned with the program's objectives and priorities.
The training covered the financial support program's objectives, priorities, and application criteria, as well as the social entrepreneurship approach. Information was provided on current situation and needs analysis, the theory of change, indicator selection, activity planning, budget preparation, eligible costs, the application process via KAYS, and key points to consider in the application dossier. The training was supplemented with case studies and group exercises.
