TechAnkara CyberVatan Summer Camp Program

A summer camp program was designed for young entrepreneurs, especially university students, in order to train cyber security experts in Turkey.

Within the scope of TechAnkara SiberVatan summer camp program, Linux&CEH trainings, penetration test training and summer camp activities will be organized. Applications are due between 27 June and 17 July. Summer camp dates will be held between 25 July and 12 August.

TechAnkara CyberVatan Summer Camp Schedule:

  • Applied Basic Linux&CEH (White Hat Hacker) Training: 25-31 July 2022
  • Field, Project, Institution Visits and Picnic: 3-5 August 2022
  • Penetration Test Training: 8-12 August 2022

After the applications are received, they will be evaluated by our Agency. Accepted applicants will be notified via e-mail. Participation in the program is free and the quota is limited. The trainings will be held at Ankara Development Agency. Participants are requested to bring their portable computers with them to the trainings.

Cyber security trainings and events to be organized by expert trainers are as follows:

  • Applied Basic Linux Training (2 Days)
  • File System Structure, Understanding File Type, File Permissions, File Move/Rename/Delete, Find-File/Directory Search, Change File Permissions, Change File Ownership, Mount and Unmount File Systems
  • Package Dependencies, Package Manager, Installing Packages, Uninstalling Packages, Updating Packages, Searching for Packages, Package Information, Package Dependencies, Package Configuration / Package Listing
  • Processes, Running a Process Back, Rolling Back a Process, List Processes, Process Status, Process Priority(nice), Process Priority Change(renice), Kill Processes
  • Network Configuration, Bash Shell, Input and Output Shell, Command Line, Directory Operations, Solid Links/Hard Link, Symbolic Links/Hard Link, Which/Whereis/Locate, User Actions, User Group Actions, Text Handling, Text editors, Signals , Software Packages, Repository Settings/Repository Operations, System Updates, Clear APT Cache, System Logs, Linux Security, Shell Programming, Script Examples
  • Applied CEH (White Hat Hacker) Training (5 Days)
  • Login, Information Gathering Methods, Scanning, Getting Information from Services, Login to Systems, Metasploit, Virus, Worm and Trojans, Sniffers, Social Engineering, DOS, Session Stealing, Login to Web Servers, Web Application Weaknesses, SQL Injection, Introduction to Wireless Networks, Firewall&Honeypot and IDSs, Buffer Overflow, Cryptography-Encryption
  • Penetration Test Training (5 Days)
  • Pentest definition, purpose, points to be considered, discovery and vulnerability scanning, vulnerability exploitation (exploitation), domain and end-user computers penetration tests, post-exploitation, database penetration tests, network components penetration tests and second layer attacks, security mechanisms circumvention methods, social engineering, web application penetration testing
  • Summer Camp Activities (3 Days)
  • Technical trip to METU Atomic Animation Technologies and Game Development Center, Beypazarı Living Village and Beypazarı Living Museum
  • Technical trip to Digital Transformation Office, Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK) and TÜRKSAT
  • Picnic Event
