Turkey Participated in Gamescom 2026 With a Turcorn Stand, Along With 16 Startups

This participation was coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and organized by the Ankara Development Agency. As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Call, Turkey, with the support of Ankaraka, İstka, İzka, Bebka, Baka, and Mevka agencies, will participate in 4 major events (Gamescom, Web Summit Lisbon, Web Summit Qatar, CES). The first event in this context was Gamescom 2026, held in Cologne from August 26-30, 2026. Ankara Development Agency and 16 startups participated in Gamescom 2026. Eight of the participating startups were from Ankara, six from Istanbul, one from Izmir, and one from Kocaeli. Each startup was represented by three people. A total of 55 people, including 48 entrepreneurs and 7 delegation participants, attended Kölnmesse. 

The delegation included Abdulvahap Yoğunlu, Head of the Development Agencies Coordination Department at the Ministry of Industry and Technology; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duhan Kalkan, Secretary General of the Ankara Development Agency; Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan, Rector of Ankara Health Sciences University; Prof. Dr. Erdal Akdeve, General Manager of Ankara Health Sciences University Sociopark; Faruk İnaltekin, General Manager of Bilkent Cyberpark; Berat Kuzu, Member of the TOBB Creative Council; Tuğbek Ölek, Chairman of the TOGED Advisory Board; and Erdem Koçoğlu, Head of the Advanced Technology Unit of the Ankara Development Agency. 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duhan Kalkan, Secretary General of the Ankara Development Agency, stated that Gamescom 2026 was the busiest year in terms of participation, with 16 startups representing Turkey under the Global Entrepreneurship Call. The Turcorn booth attracted significant interest, and our entrepreneurs had the opportunity to conduct B2B meetings with investors and potential customers.
