Waste Management in Mamak will be carried out with the support of the Agency
The project, which is supported within the scope of the Ankara Development Agency's 2021 Rural Development Financial Support Program, will be carried out by the Mamak Municipality. The contract for the project was signed by Mamak Mayor Murat Köse and Ankara Development Agency General Secretary Cahit Çelik. With the project, various organic wastes in Mamak district will be converted into vermicompost and the obtained manure will be used in climatically risky areas determined by modeling methods.
Rational Solutions in Waste Management
Authorities report that it is a problem to manage the organic wastes generated while animal husbandry activities are carried out in the rural neighborhoods of Mamak such as Kutludüğün, Lalahan and Gökçeyurt. On the other hand, it is stated that studies should be carried out to manage vegetable wastes such as foliage from parks and gardens. In this context, the project supported by the Ankara Development Agency will ensure that waste management is carried out in a sustainable and climate-sensitive manner in Mamak, one of the largest districts of Ankara. It is aimed that the project will make a significant contribution to waste management in Mamak and become a model.
