Ankara Regional Plan 2024-2028 Preparation Works Continue

Within the scope of Ankara Regional Plan 2024-2028 preparatory work, meetings were held with relevant stakeholders on improving the investment environment and developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The "Improving the Ankara Investment Environment" focus group meeting, organized by the Ankara Development Agency Investment Support Office, was held on October 3 and the meeting called "Developing the Ankara Entrepreneurship Ecosystem" was held on October 6.

OIZ representatives in Ankara, ATO representatives, ASO representatives, representatives of the Provincial Directorate of Industry and Technology, representatives of the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization and representatives from relevant stakeholder institutions took part in the Improvement of the Ankara Investment Environment study.

For the investment environment, evaluations were made within the framework of issues such as industrial infrastructure, energy, employment and environment. All participants were given limited time and their views on the current situation, solution suggestions and what kind of measures and priorities would be included in the regional plan in the next five years were asked. In this context, the evaluations and opinions of the participants will be recorded and taken into account in determining the strategic objectives for the regional plan.

University representatives in Ankara, technopark representatives, angel investment network representatives, crowdfunding platform representatives and representatives from relevant stakeholder institutions took part in the Ankara Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development study.

For the entrepreneurship ecosystem, evaluations were made in the perspective of subjects such as SME, start-up, employment, studies of universities, and access to finance. All participants were given limited time and their views on the current situation, solution suggestions and what kind of measures and priorities would be included in the regional plan in the next five years were asked. In this context, the evaluations and opinions of the participants will be recorded and taken into account in determining the strategic objectives for the regional plan.

In addition to good practices, discussions on areas that need improvement were also held at the meetings. While it was stated that universities should give more support to the ecosystem, the importance of harmony among local actors was emphasized. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that joint activities should increasingly continue.

The investment environment and entrepreneurship ecosystem-themed works carried out by Ankara Development Agency are aimed at raising awareness in the city and improving coordination and cooperation between local actors.
