Biodiversity, Agriculture, and Children's Activities Continue
The second "Biodiversity, Agriculture, and Children's Activities" event was held on May 22, World Biodiversity Day.
The second session of the educational activities conducted under the protocol "Biodiversity, Agriculture, and Children's Activities in Ankara" signed between Ankara Development Agency, Ankara Governorship, and Hacettepe University Biological Diversity Research and Application Center (HUBİOM) took place. The event, held at the Biosphere Museum, which was opened last year under HUBİOM and attracted great interest, was attended by 100 students enrolled in primary schools affiliated with the Science and Art Education Centers (BİLSEM) of the Ankara Governorship.
A Day at the Biosphere Museum
Students had the opportunity to explore the biodiversity exhibited at the Biosphere Museum and listen to fundamental biological concepts and processes from academics and researchers. The specially designed program by Hacettepe University Biological Diversity Research and Application Center attracted great interest. Students, in groups, closely examined biodiversity and received information about Anatolia's rich ecosystem. The museum showcases many examples from the universe's formation, the earth's geological structure, and fossils, microorganisms, plants, fungi, and animals.
