Our Development Agency took part in TravelExpo Ankara
Our agency participated in "6th TravelExpo Ankara International Tourism and Travel Fair". The fair, which was opened by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, lasted for 4 days.
Health tourism was one of the topics that attracted attention at the fair, which was held on 16-19 November 2023 and attended by many institutions and organisations and tourism professionals. The exhibition area where we took part as Ankara Development Agency was visited by many local and foreign participants. Medical companies supported by our Agency had the chance to exhibit their products and projects at the stand. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, who opened the fair, visited the Ankara Development Agency stand and received information from the officials about the products exhibited and the activities carried out by Ankara Development Agency.
The fair, which was visited by many politicians, bureaucrats, health tourism managers and professionals, also attracted attention with its foreign participants. Among the visitors to the stand where the publications of Ankara Development Agency attracted great interest; Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, Deputy Minister of Health Huzeyfe Yılmaz, President of Ankara Chamber of Commerce Gürsel Baran.
Employment in Health Tourism
"Employment in Health Tourism" was also discussed at the fair where various sessions and panels were held. Zekai Efeoğlu, Head of Rural Development Unit of our Agency, Prof. Dr. Feride Bahar Işın, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Başkent University, Prof. Dr. Fuat Yalman, Faculty Member of Düzce University Health Management Department and Head of the Department of Health Tourism, participated in the panel moderated by Prof. Dr. Dilaver Tengilimoğlu, Head of Business Administration Department of Atılım University. In his speech, Efeoğlu explained the activities carried out by Ankara Development Agency in the field of health tourism and stated that studies will be carried out to implement sustainable and innovative training models in health tourism employment. The fair is expected to contribute to the development of health tourism, whose capacity has increased in recent years, as well as general tourism in Ankara.
