Qualified Personnel Training For Unmanned Aerial Vehicles In Precision Agriculture
Under the Social Economy Financial Support Program (2022) focused on Sustainable Development Goals, a contract has been signed for the project titled "Training Program for Technical Personnel for the Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in Precision Agriculture" by Turkish Aeronautical Association University.
The signing ceremony, attended by Turkish Aeronautical Association President Ali YÜKSEL, witnessed the signing of the contract by Prof. Dr. Hasan ERBAY, Rector of Turkish Aeronautical Association University and Dr. Cahit ÇELİK, Secretary General of Ankara Development Agency.
The project aims to train competent personnel in response to the identified shortage of qualified personnel in the rapidly growing use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to support and enhance precision agriculture. Within the scope of the project, a standard training curriculum will be developed, including UAV spraying training, maintenance and repair training, calibration training, and wireless communication techniques training. This initiative will address the shortage of technical personnel in the rapidly evolving unmanned systems sector. As a result of these training programs and certification courses, competent personnel will be trained, particularly in the use of UAVs in agricultural applications, providing employment opportunities for young individuals in the unmanned aerial vehicle sector.
