The project that will implement sensitive agriculture practices is starting in Ayaş. The contract for the project to be carried out by Çankaya University was signed by Çankaya University Rector Prof. Dr. Can Çoğun and Ankara Development Agency General Secretary Cahit Çelik. Supporting Rural Development with Innovative Agricultural Practices: Sensitive Agriculture Kit Development Project will develop equipment and systems that will enable precision agriculture and holistic garden care activities in Ayaş cherry and sour cherry, one of the most important agricultural products of Ayaş. The system will increase productivity by managing issues such as product quality management, pest control and yield forecasting.

Precision Agriculture for Productivity Increase

Sensitive agriculture has come to the fore in recent years as an agricultural management based on site-specific crop management using information technologies, observing, measuring and responding to in-field and in-field variations in crops. Experts also point out that the system, which increases productivity in agricultural products, manages environmental risks as well. The project to be implemented in Ayaş is aimed to be a good model practice.
