Supply Chain Localization Program was held with TÜRASAŞ
A supply chain localization event was held on Friday, October 6 between 14:00-17:30 with the participation of Turkish Railway Vehicles Industry Inc. (TÜRASAŞ) officials and businesses wishing to become suppliers.
An announcement was made on our website and yatirimadestek.gov.tr on July 31 regarding the products requested by TÜRASAŞ. A total of 10 applications were received in 4 different product groups to the Supply Chain Localization Announcement List with TÜRASAŞ, which was open for application until 15 September 2023. As a result of the evaluation, 6 companies were invited to the supply chain localization event.
Arlentus Kontrol A.Ş., Kaaf Makina San. Tic. Ltd. Şti, Pruva Mold Technologies San. Tic. A.Ş., SDT Uzay Ve Savunma Teknolojileri A.Ş., Medel Elektronik Ve Mühendislik San. Tic. AŞ and Yılmazlar Makina ve Otomotiv Ulaştırma Tarım San. Tic. Ltd. Şti participated in the event. Among these companies, Arlentus Kontrol A.Ş. and SDT Uzay Ve Savunma Teknolojileri A.Ş. companies from Ankara, Kaaf Makina San. Tic. Ltd. Şti from Kayseri, Pruva Kalıp Teknolojileri San. Tic. A.Ş. from Bursa, Yılmazlar Makina Ve Otomotiv Ulaştırma Tarım San. Tic. Ltd. from Eskişehir and Medel Elektronik Ve Mühendislik San. Tic. AŞ participated from Istanbul.
The meeting was attended by Emine Doğrukök, Deputy Secretary General of Ankara Development Agency, M. Selim Kaplan, Deputy Head of Purchasing Department of TURASAŞ, Burak Şen, Deputy Director of Strategy and Corporate Development Branch, and representatives of the employees of the institution and supplier companies.
Emine Doğrukök, Deputy Secretary General of Ankara Development Agency, stated that the supply chain localization activity has become national thanks to the Yatırımadestek platform. She said that the supply chain localization module published on the Yatırımadestek website contributes to the increase in advanced technology production and is an important interface for corporate companies to meet their supply needs with domestic solutions.
M. Selim Kaplan, Deputy Head of Purchasing Department of TÜRASAŞ, said that TÜRASAŞ carries out the production of all kinds of rail system vehicles and subcomponents, improving the R&D, design and production capabilities of the domestic industry, and manufacturing all kinds of rail system vehicles and subcomponents, mainly by increasing the domestic and national production and design of rail system vehicles and increasing the localization rate in critical components. He stated that they want to increase the domestic product rates in the engines, wagons and locomotives produced by TÜRASAŞ and thanked Ankara Development Agency for its support in the supply chain localization process. He said that they want to continue their supply chain localization activities with new products and that they request the support of Ankara Development Agency in this regard.
