Turkish Technology Startups Met with Foreign Investors in Lisbon

24 Turkish technology startups, who were entitled to take part in the Web Summit within the scope of the Call for Participation in Global Entrepreneurship Events, are introducing their products that shape the future in Lisbon.

More than 100 Turkish technology startups aiming to open up to global markets in cooperation with Ankara Development Agency (ANKARAKA), Western Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA), Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency (BEBKA) and İzmir Development Agency (İZKA), Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA) which is being taken to global events to be held in Lisbon, Helsinki, Las Vegas and Doha.

Ankara Development Agency Deputy Secretary General Emine Doğrukök said that Turkish technology startups will participate in Web Summit, Slush, CES and Web Summit Qatar, which are among the most important entrepreneurship events in the world, with the cooperation of 5 Development Agencies working under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology for the first time this year.

Turkish technology startups that qualified to participate in Web Summit 2023, held in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, on November 13-16, within the scope of the Call for Participation in Global Entrepreneurship Events. 24 Turkish technology startups are taking part in the event, which brings together more than 70 thousand participants, more than 900 investors, more than 2,600 startups, 800 speakers and more than 2 thousand media members from more than 160 countries.

Turkish entrepreneurs, who were offered free stands, started to introduce technology products in many fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, renewable energy, digital health, game technologies, automotive industry, 3D printer technologies, software, cosmetic technologies and logistics. At Web Summit 2023, which lasts for four days, Turkish technology startups have the opportunity to meet with foreign investors, meet future business partners and acquire potential customers.​

Skann Teknoloji A.Ş. and Argus Technology Inc. Enterprises named exhibit their products in the stand area from Ankara under the coordination of Ankara Development Agency Investment Support Office. In addition, officials from Hacettepe University Technology Transfer Center, Health Sciences University TEKMER, ICMPD Ecosystem Unit and Başkent University BİTTO, who participated from Ankara with the support of our Agency, are taking part in the Web Summit event.

Entrepreneurs who are successful within the scope of the Call for Participation in Global Entrepreneurship Events will participate in the Slush event, which will be held in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, on 30 November -1 December. Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest consumer electronics fair, to be held in Las Vegas, USA, on 9-12 January 2024. Web Summit Qatar, which will be held for the first time in Doha, Qatar, on 26-29 February 2024. Startups will be given different scopes of support for each event.
